Bloomfield Family Dentistry

Bloomfield Family Dentistry was originally opened in March of 2014, with help from an experienced local staff, all native to Bloomfield and Fairfield. Our staff includes Julie Burns, Rhonda McGill and hygienist, Cindy Prewitt. Associate dentist Dr. Sara Rogers quickly joined the staff with great success.

In December of 2015, Bloomfield Family Dentistry became a satellite office of Blackmon & Walton Family Dentistry, Bardstown, Kentucky. Original owner, Dr. Mike Walton had worked in both the Bardstown and Bloomfield areas and wanted to bring them together. New partner Dr. Josh Blackmon was eager to join the Bloomfield community.

Dr. Walton is a 2003 graduate of the University Of Kentucky College Of Dentistry. He is a native to Nelson County, and has practiced here since graduating. Dr. Walton is currently the Dental Director at the Nelson County Community Clinic. He is on the Nelson County Board of Health, the Lincoln Trail Board of Health, member of ADA, and the Bluegrass Select Dental Study Club. He, his wife Stephanie, daughter Lillian, and sons Leo and Miles are also proud to be active members of our community.

Dr. Blackmon is a 2006 graduate of the University Of Kentucky College Of Dentistry. Following dental school, he served as a Captain in US Army for 4 years providing care to soldiers deploying overseas and returning home. He then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Kentucky and VA Hospital in Lexington. He, his wife Lindsay, and two
