Description
Over twenty-five years ago, Pastor Gary Brown had a dream to start a church in Georgetown, KY that would point hurting and broken people to something so much bigger than their reality...Jesus Christ. At that time Gary and his wife Marcia along with their three small children, Corrie, Andrew, and Erin were living in Louisiana where Gary pastored a church. With much prayer and little money in their pockets, the Brown family set out for the Bluegrass to accomplish this big dream in their hearts.
In January of 1987, Grace Christian Church launched its first service with a small group of only three people. Grace had many locations over the next several years including hospital rooms and storefronts but due to the rapidly increasing growth of the church, Grace Christian was finally able to purchase a permanent home. However, after ten years on Gano Avenue, it was evident that this facility was not a permanent solution as the congregation outgrew this building as well. So the search began, once again, for a more permanent home.
