Located in the heart of the Highlands neighborhood, Baxter Avenue Filmworks is far from a typical multiplex. The theater offers first-run, foreign, and independent fare. Baxter offers you a choice of eight wall to wall screen auditoriums with seating capacities from 147 to 237. Features include state-of-the-art projection equipment and Dolby Digital surround sound.

Baxter's most show-stopping asset, however, is its aesthetic allure including a multimedia video wall above the concession stand, lighted moving sculptures, and vintage posters throughout the facility. Hand-painted murals by local artists adorn walls in the concourse and each theater. Each mural celebrates a director that has made a valuable contribution to film.

STATE OF THE ART PROJECTION:
Baxter Avenue Filmworks is now one of the only theaters in the state of Kentucky to use the Dolby System and quite possibly the only theatre to utilize specifically the Christie CP2000 SB projector which is used primarily in very large auditoriums with long throw distances that have multi-tiered balconies and 1,000s of seats. There is no doubt that patrons who see the digital and 3D films at Baxter will see the best quality image that is currently available in theaters.
